Greg Smitkin has been remodeling homes and building additions in The Greater Saratoga Region since 2004 — the year he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wentworth Institute of Technology, one of the top construction and engineering schools in the Northeast.

That academic foundation, combined with two decades of hands-on experience, means every project Greg takes on is approached with both technical precision and genuine craftsmanship. From custom built-ins and kitchen renovations to full additions and basement finishing, the quality of the work speaks for itself.

For over 20 years, Greg ran the business as Smitkin Builders, LLC — building a reputation one project at a time across The Greater Saratoga Region. In 2026, with his son Brody turning 11 and showing a real passion for the trade, Greg made it official: the company became BGS Fine Finish, LLC. BGS stands for Brody, Greg, and Smitkin — a father and son, building together.

Brody is already part of the team — handling progress photos, project videos, and running the BGS merch store. The next generation is here, and the work has never been more personal.
