More Than Initials — It's a Family
BGS stands for Brody, Greg, and Smitkin — a father, his son, and the family name they share. Greg graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2004 and launched his remodeling career shortly after, spending over 20 years building a reputation for craftsmanship and integrity as Smitkin Builders, LLC.
In 2026, with Brody turning 11 and showing a real passion for the trade, Greg made it official — the company became BGS Fine Finish, LLC. The two mountains in our logo represent Greg watching over Brody, a father looking out for his son, just as we look out for every home and family we work with.
Brody is already part of the team — handling progress photos, project videos, and running the BGS merch store. When you hire BGS Fine Finish, LLC, you're working with a family that takes pride in every nail, every finish, and every space we create.
